RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. $8- ?yapproving plans, specifications, i
contract documents and authorizing the City Clerk to advert
for bids for the repair of the Carlsbad Swim Complex Del
Project No. 3271.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The Carlsbad Swim Complex was constructed during 1981-
Subsequently, due to severe rusting and spalling of the swimm
pool deck, the Swim Complex deck has been redesigned to minim future damage and maintenance costs. Because of increased us of the facility during the upcoming summer months, construction period for the repairs will be limited to May
1988 through approximately June 15, 1988. In coordination w the Parks and Recreation Department, all aquatic events have b

The project includes removal and replacement of deteriora reinforcing steel, replacement of damaged decking, and redes of the surrounding deck drainage to minimize water intrus beneath the pool deck. Additionally, a minor amount of concr
