RECOM M EN DED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. _8f -137 authorizing the City of Carlsbad to part
the County of San Diego's periodic sales to dispose of surplus property w
longer required by the City of Carlsbad.
ITEM EXPLANATION
The City and County of San Diego have awarded a contract for auctioneerin to Mark Gorin Associates of Huntington Beach, CA. In order to participi
County Cooperative Auction, a public agency must file with the County of S
Director of Purchasing and Contracting a certified copy of a resolutic
governing body reflecting authorization to participate in the periodic sa share in the pro rata costs for sales.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no direct cost to the City. The County's fee schedule, based I auction sale up to $250,000, is 9% of the price for vehicles/equipment ai other surpl us property.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PERIODIC SALES OF THE COUNTY OF SAN DIEGO.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of C
California, as follows:
1. That the City of Carlsbad does hereby authorize the Count:
Diego to dispose of surplus property which is no longer required by thf
Carlsbad and to collect appropriate surcharges to offset the pro rata (
