City Council adopt Resolution No. f'g-/B/ accepting the five bund-red fif
dollars ($550) donation fron: RecyCal of San D-iego to assist the Parks a
Recreation Department efforts with beach maint, nnance .
ITEM EXPLABATION :
For the past two years, KecyCal of Southern California, a con-profit,
enviromnental organization sponsored by Califorriia' s soft drink e beer,
packaging, retail. fast food ar,d recycling industries has sponsored an
izxiovative ziid successful beach clean up progra~ a
Called the "Recycal Beach PE~o~~' the program has provided over three
hundred thousand dollars ($300 % 000) in donatioils to goverixxent agencie:
arid non-profit organizations to hire you~g people to clean up litter fi
beaches throughout Southern California.
The KecyCal of San Diego Organization has offered the City of Carlsbad
five hurdred fifty dollar { $550) grant to assist with beach maintenancc

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 0
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A DONATION
OF FIVE HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS ($550)
WHEREAS, RecyCal donated five hundred fifty dollars
for the beach clean up program provided by the Parks Divis
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept this gif
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
Carlsbad as follows:
1. That the City Council accepts the donation of
hundred fifty dollars ($550) on behalf of the citizens of
of Carlsbad.
2. That the Parks operation budget for part-time
for fiscal year 1988-89 is hereby increased by $550 for tl
program.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting (
City Council of the City of Carlsbad held on the 14 th day
