ADAPT PROGRAM
At your request staff checked with Ms. Golding's office regarding the ADAPT Program.
Their request for our involvement would require either the Mayor or a council member be selected as a member of the task force representing City of Carlsbad. The membership meets on a
quarterly basis and there are no financial obligations required
for our participation.
The ADAPT Program appears to be a countywide effort to help prevent alcohol and drug abuse by youth throughout the county
through the support of all county political entities, Since this is an important issue nationwide and the fact that we have a successful DARE Program, it would be an appropriate program in
which the City might want to participate.
Let me know if you need further action,
' ROBERT quEs B.
