RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. &-3bd, , approving plans, specifications and contract documents for the irrigation installation at lower Buena Vista School athletic field.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
In accordance with a previous Council approved 1986 Park Bond
Act project, staff has prepared plans, specifications and contract documents for irrigation installation at the lower Buena Vista School athletic field. Located at the Southeast corner of Pi0 Pic0 and Las Flores Streets, this field provides
use for Soccer, Little League, and Bobby Sox groups as well as
an additional school playground.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The pre-bid estimate for this project is as follows:
- Irrigation installation $17,500
- Water Meter 1 , 500
- Printing, Administrative Cost 500
$19 , 500
Funding for this project is available through the 1986 State of
California Park Bond Act.

RESOLUTION NO. 88-362
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS
AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE FOR IRRIGATION
INSTALLATION BIDS FOR LOWER BUENA VISTA SCHOOL ATHLETIC FIELD,
PROJECT #86-1-37031
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad has
determined it necessary and in the public interest to rehabilitate
the lower Buena Vista School athletic field;
WHEREAS, plans, specifications, and contract documents for
the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, equipment,
transportation, and other expenses necessary or incidental for
said project, Project No. 86-1-37031 have been prepared and are
on file in the Parks and Recreation Department of the City of
carlsbad and are incorporated by reference herein;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the plans, specifications, and contract documents
as presented are hereby approved.
3. That the City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby
authorized and directed to proceed to publish, in accordance with
law, Notice to Contractors inviting bids for the irrigation
installation at lower Buena Vista School athletic'field, Project
No. 86-1-37031, and in accordance with the specifications
hereinabove referred.
