RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Staff recommends acceptance of the 1987-88 Curbs, Gutters and Sidewalks Replacement Program, Contract No. U/M-17, as complete and requests the City Clerk be directed to have the Notice of Completion recorded and to release the bonds 35 days after recordation.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
On June 7, 1988, the City Council awarded a contract for the Curbs, Gutters and Sidewalks Replacement Program to Greg Schaefer dba Schaefer Construction of Encinitas, California, in the amount of $71,409.75. Two change orders were issued for $1,818.75 to bring the monies allocated to the project to $73,228.50. The project has been completed at a cost of $71,728.50 and is acceptable to the Utilities and Maintenance Director.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There are sufficient funds in Account No. 001-820-5110-2411 for payment on the project.

Utilities & Maintenance project consisting of the 1987-88 Curbs,
Gutters and Sidewalks Replacement Program on which Greg Schaefer
dba Schaefer Construction was the Contractor, and Amwest Surety
Insurance Company was the Surety, was completed.
