Authorize Battalion Chief Stewart Gary to travel to Seattle, Washington to attend a three day course on Computer Aided Manangement of Emergency Operations (C.A.M.E.O. II). Also authorize the Information Systems Director to attend. ITEM EXPLANATION: C.A.M.E.O. is a computer program provided free to public agencies by the Nationa·l Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (N.O.A.A.). C.A.M.E.O. runs on our new public safety, Apple Macintosh based computer system. C.A.M.E.O. provides staff a hazardous chemical library, and organizational tools to manage chemical or other City emergencies. This course will help staff to best understand everything the program provides. The seminar is taught at N.O.A.A., Seattle, where the program was developed. FISCAL IMPACT: The total cost to the City is $1600,including air fare, tuition, hotel and meals. Funds are available in the current Fire Department Travel and Education budgets~ and the Information Systems Department travel budget. EXHIBIT: 1. None .
