HomeMy WebLinkAbout1988-12-13; City Council; 9772; APPROVAL OF CHANGE ORDER NO. 3 FOR PALOMAR AIRPORT ROAD WEST ASSESSMENT DISTRICT PROJECT NO. 3151BILL VI- RECOMMENDED ACTION: Adopt Resolution No. 88-Y26 approving Change Order Number 3 for the construction of the Palomar Airport Road West Assessment District, Project No. 3151. ITEM EXPLANATION: The Palomar Airport Road West Assessment District project is currently under construction. Attached Change Order Number 3 is the addition of necessary drainage and erosion control measures required for the project in advance of the 1988-89 rainy season. The contractor will apply a straw mulch and spray adhesive to all permanent cut slopes on the north side of Palomar Airport Road to assist in the stabilization of slope erosion. This area totals 283,215 square feet at a cost of $0.05 per square foot for a total of $14,160.75. Staff recommends approval of the attached change order. FISCAL IMPACT: The total cost of Change Order Number 3 is $14,160.75 which is to be charged against the Assessment District. There is a sufficient balance of contingency funds available in the project account number 320-820-1840-3151 to enable approval of this additional project expense. EXHIBITS : 1. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct. 2. That Change Order Number 3 for the Palomar Airpor Road West Assessment District, Project No. 3151, is hereb approved and the Mayor is authorized and directed to execut said Change Order.
