Accept improvements, authorize City Clerk to record the Notice of Completion, release bonds, and direct the Costa Real Municipal Water District to commence maintaining the water improvements associated with the subdivision.
I ITEM EXPLANATION:
The Developer has constructed all improvement required of this project and has requested the City to accept the public improvements itemized in Exhibit 3.
City forces have inspected the public improvements and found them to be
satisfactory.
I FISCAL IMPACT:
The Costa Real Municipal Water District will be required to maintain the public
water improvements. The value of the improvements is estimated at $5,209.00

Release of Grading Bond # 136351
Dear Ms. Owens:
Pursuant to our telephone conversation today, I am enclosing copies of our letters
dated 1 l-lo-86 and 3-07-88. Our letter dated November 10, 1986 to Mr. Harold
Johnson, Senior Inspector, requested an inspection and a release of all bonds .
Our letter dated March 7, i988 to Mr. Lloyd Hubbs, City Engineer, again requested
the release of bonds. Copies of both these letters were sent to Tim Fennessy.
He told me he was preparing the release to go to City Council.
It is my understanding that, to date, these bonds have not been released. Notice
of completion was filed on September 29, 1986, and we have had all city sign-offs
which were required. The cash security deposit, posted in connection with these
bonds, was ro!eased in 1987.
Would you please look into this matter and assist us in obtaining the release of
these bonds. The property address is 5050 Avenia Encinas, Carlsbad. Should
you have any t c e hnical questions, you may contact Mr. Clay Loomis,at Rick

Please advise me as to the date this will be on your City Council agenda. Your
