RECOMMENDED ACTION:
If Council concurs, your action is to adopt Resolution
No. �authorizing the Mayor to execute the contract
amendment with the County of San Diego to reallocate
Community Development Block Grant funding.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
On November 22, 1988, the Council awarded a contract for
Chase Field Improvements which included an additianal
appropriation of $46,364 in Community Development Block Grant
Funds. These funds were unspent funds from completed/deleted ,
projects. These projects are:

The County has prepared contract amendments that will
transfer these funds ($46,364) to Chase Field Improvements.
By authorizing the Mayor to execute the contract amendments,
the formal transfer of the funds will be completed.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No increase or decrease in funds will occur.
Community Development Block Grant Funds will be transferred
from completed/deleted projects to Chase Field Improvements.

4 WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad has entered into a
5 Cooperation Agreement with the County of San Diego to
6 participate in Community Development Block Grant funding; and
7 WHEREAS, the City Council notifies the County annually
8 of selected projects for funding and enters into a contract
9 to receive funds for said project year; and
10 WHEREAS, the City wishes to amend prior years contracts
11 as stated in the amendments attached hereto and made a part
12 hereof.
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED as follows:
14 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
15 2. That the Mayor of the City of Carlsbad is hereby
authorized to execute the contract amendments.
16 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
17 City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, on the 20th
18 day of December, 1988, by the following vote, to wit:
