RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the refund of the following fees:
Dr. Berchtold $1,656.90
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The following fees have been collected by the City and should be
refunded to the appropriate parties·:

REASON
Dr. Berch told paid his James
Dr. Assessment due 12-1-88,
however no payment was due.
All 12-1-88 assessments for
James Dr. were paid from
surplus money held in the
assessment district fund.
Any refund of fees reduces the amount of revenue available to the
city: however, the city may not retain fees collected in error,
collected for services ·which cannot be rendered, or collected with
the intention of using said fees for a deposit to guarantee the
completion of a task once the task is completed.
