RECOMMENDED ACTION:
City Council adopt liesolution No. FY/G-?~ accepting a $3,000 donation from La Costa Hotel & Spa Tournament of Champions Charities.
Item Exnlanation:
On November 25, 1988, representatives of the La Costa Hotel
and Spa presented the Senior Center with a check for $3,000
raised by the Tournament of Champions Charities to benefit
programs at the Carltsbad Senior Center.
Senior Commission Recommendation:
At their meeting on January 5, 1989, the Senior Commission
accepted $3,000 raised through the Tournament of Champions Charities. The Senior Commission recommends that thie
donation be deposited into the Senior Trust Fund to bc utilized to purchase special equipment at the new Senioi Center.
Fiscal Imnact:
The $3,000 donation has been deposited into the Senior Trust Fund Account #880-519-9203-0000 to purchase special equipmenl for the new Senior Center.

We are presently building a new Senior Center and are lookir

RESOLUTION NO. 89-28
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A DONATION OF THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($3,000).
WHEREAS, the La Costa Hotel and Spa Tournsment of
Champions Charities donatedthree thousand dollars ($3,000)
for equipment at the new Senior Center; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept this
gift:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad as follows:
1. That the City Council accepts the donation of
three thousand dollars ($3,000) on behalf of the Seniol
Citizens of the City of Carlsbad.
