On January 5, 1989, Phil Urbina, Director of Communit Relations for Daniels Cablevision Inc., presented the Senic Commission with a $1,000 check to be utilized towards tk: purchase of a large screen television and V.C.R. for the ne
Senior Center.
Senior Commission ]Recommendation:
At their meeting, February 2, 1989, the Senior Commissic accepted the $1,000 check from Daniels Cablevision Inc. an
recommended to the City Council that the donation be deposite
into the Senior Citizen Trust Fund to be utilized toward th
purchase of a television and VCR for the new Senior Center.
Fiscal ImDact:
The $1,000 donation has been deposited into the Senior Trus
Fund Account #880-5l9-92034000, to be utilized toward th
purchase of a large screen television and VCR for the ne Senior Center.

We at the Carlsbad Senior Center would like to thank
Daniels Cablevision Inc. for the $1000 donation to assist
with the purchase of a television and VCR for the new
Senior Center.
We are all looking forward to our new Senior Center and
contributions such as yours will make our transition even
that much more to look forward to.
Seniors are very dedicated and supportive of their
community and it is very refreshing to see local
community businesses display selfless efforts of support
in return.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 0
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A DONATION OF ON
THOUSAND DOLLARS f$l.OOO).
WHEREAS, Daniels Cablevision Inc. donated on
thousand dollars ($1,000) toward the purchase of
television and video cassette recorder for the new Senic
Center; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept thi
gift;
NOW, THEIREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counci
of the City of Carlsbad, as follows:
1. That the City Council accepts the donation c
one thousand dollars ($1,000) on behalf of the Senic
Citizens of the City of Carlsbad.
