Dear Lloyd:
On behalf of the Huntington Beach Company, I would like to
request a one year extension of our tentative map (C.T. 85-17).
This tentative map is scheduled to expire on November 11, 1988.
Because of delays in Coastal Commission approval of our tentative
map, we will not be able to complete the final engineering necessary
to record the map within the original two year time limitation.
With this in mind, we respectfully request a one year
extension of time.
Sincerely,
Aka Steven A. Berg

SUBJECT: TENTATIVE MAP EXTENSION FOR CARLSBAD TRACT 85-17
(COLLEGE BUSINESS PARK)
RICK ENGINEERING JOB NO. 8495-P
Dear Lloyd:
On October 21, 1988, you received a letter from the Hunting1 Beach Company requesting an extension for the above tentative mz The tentative map was due to expire on November 11, 1988.
The draft conditions we received from your staff indicate that 1 are recommending a 12-month extension. I would like to point ( that, as of a few days ago, there are only 10 months left on 1 proposed recommended time extension and we have not yet receiT
a schedule about when we will be before the City Council for tht
final action.
On behalf of the Huntington Beach Company, we would like to suggc
that the proposed expiration date be changed from November 12, 1< to July 13, 1990, which is an additional 8 months on top of t one-year request. It is totally within the discretion of the Cj
to allow an extra extension, if requested. The reason we E requesting the extension to run until July 13, 1990, is to coincj with the Coastal Permit that will expire on that date. I h2
attached a copy of the cover sheet of the Coastal Permit indicatj
the Commission action. The normal life for their Permit, defined later on in the Permit, is two years from the date Commission action.
In summary, because time has elapsed and the extension has not 4 been presented to the Council, we would like to request that t expiration date be moved from November 12, 1989, as recommended
