This proposal would amend the Municipal Code to add the requirement that every candidate for a local office file copies of each and every check received in excess of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) as a campaign contribution. Requiring a copy of each check is only good business and will be an asset to the City. .. ...- February 27, 1989 TO : CITY MANAGER FROM: Mayor Bud Lewis In response to Mr. Mamaux's proposal to amend the campaign reporting requirements as they pertain to funds received in excess of $25.00, at this time I believe we have a system which works very well, and I do not feel that this proposed change would benefit the citizens of Carlsbad.
