RECOMMENDED ACTION:
CARLSBAD HI-NOON ROTARY
City Council adopt Resolution No. 8q-83 accepting a $600
donation from Hi-Noon Rotary to be utilized towards the
purchase of a large screen television and video cassette
recorder for the Carlsbad Senior Center.
Item ExDlanation:
On February 2, 1989, Jim Smith from the Hi-Noon Rotary
presented the Senior Commission with a $600 check to be
utilized towards thie purchase of a large screen television
and V.C.R. for the new Senior Center.
Senior Commission Recommendation:
At their meeting of, February 2, 1989, the Senior Commission accepted the $600 check from Hi-Noon Rotary and recommended to the City Council that the donation be deposited into the Senior Citizen Trust Fund to be utilized toward the purchase of a television and V.C.R. for the new Senior Center.
Fiscal ImDact:
The $600 donation has been deposited into the Senior Trust Fund Account #880-519-9203-0000, to be utilized toward the purchase of a large screen television and VCR for the new Senior Center.

Dear Friends:
Many thanks to the Hi-Noon Rotary Club for your recent
donation to the Carlsbad Senior Center.
As requested, this donation will be utilized towards the
purchase of a V.C.R. and large screen television for the
new Senior Center.
We feel very fortunate that the Carlsbad Rotary has
always displayed a great deal of interest in and support
for Senior programs in Carlsbad.
Again, we thank you for your generosity and we look
forward to our continued relationship with the Carlsbad Hi-Noon Rotary Club.

RESOLUTION NO. 89-83
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A DONATION OF SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS ($6001.
WHEREAS, Hi.-Noon Rotary donated six hundred dollars
($600) toward the purchase of a television and video
cassette recorder for the new Senior Center; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept this
gift;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad, as follows:
1. That the City Council accepts the donation of
six hundred dollars ($600) on behalf of the Senior Citizens
of the City of Carlsbad.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED, at a regular meeting
of the City Council of the City of Carlsbad held on the
21st day of March , 1989, by the following
vote, to wit:
I AYES: Council Members Kulchin, Pettine, Mamaux and Larson
