ITEM EXPLANATION: State law requires that the City Treasurer report to the City Council on a monthly basis the status of the City's investment portfolio. This report is presented to Council each month reporting on investments held on the first day of the month. FISCAL IMPACT: When held to maturity, the above investments will yield $9,186,955.60 in interest revenue. The average life of the portfolio is 1.86 years. EXHIBITS : Detail listing of investments as of May 1, 1989. 1. Current market value = $3,940,077.07. 2. Current market value = $15,689,419.42 of which $487,360.65 represents accrued interest to May 1, 1989. 3.
