As an educator, parent and concerned citizen, I see the need foi liigh-quality, affordable childcare su:rpassing the-availability. Chi1 care is no longer a simple family issue. Federal, state and local go ernments, schools and businesses must now join the families to provid quality childcare resources which meet the needs of today's children families. Carlsba'd's recognition of -this is commendable and it is wi this common goal in mind that I submit an appl'ication to serve on the City of Carlsbad's first Childcare Commission.
