Accept a donation of $1,000 from the Olive Garden Restaurant in support of the 1989 Carl sbad Triathlon.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The Recreation Division has received a donation in the amount of one thousand ($1,000) dollars in support of the 1989 Carlsbad Triathlon.
This donation was received by the Parks and Recreation Commission and it was unanimously recommended for acceptance by the City Council.
A letter of appreciation will be sent on behalf of the Parks and Recreatior Department acknowledging this donation in support of this special communit)
FISCAL IMPACT:
If Council concurs, the one thousand ($1,000) dollar donation will bc deposited into the Carl sbad Triathlon Trust (Account #880-519-92-14-000)-

RESOLUTION NO. 89-303
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A ONE THOUSAND DOLLAR DONATION FROM THE OLIVE GARDEN RESTAURANT IN SUPPORT OF THE 1989 CARLSBAD TRIATHLON.
WHEREAS the Olive Garden Restaurant has donated one thousand ($1,
dollars to the City of Carlsbad in support of the 1989 Carlsbad Triatt
and
WHEREAS the Parks and Recreation Department has received this don;
and recommends acceptance by the City Council, and
WHEREAS the City Council acknowledges the generosity of the (
Garden Restaurant and wishes to accept this donation in support of the
Carl sbad Triathlon,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the Cit
Carlsbad, as follows:
1. That the City Council accepts the donation of one tho1
($1,000) dollars in support of the 1989 Carlsbad Triathlon
PASSED, APPROVEiD, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City COI
