ACCEPTANCE OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS OF CARLSBAD GATEWAY CENTER DEPT ...ENG. PD 277, SDP 84-05
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Accept improvements, authorize City Clerk to record the Notice of Completion, release bonds, and direct the Utilities and Maintenance Department and the Parks and Recreation Department to commence maintaining the public improvements associated with the project.
ITEM EXPLANATION
The Developer has constructed the median island including landscaping on El Camino Real (from Faraday Avenue to north of Cougar Drive) as improvements required of this project and has requested the City to accept the Public Improvements itemized in Exhibit 3. City forces have inspected the public improvements and found them to be satisfactory.
FISCAL IMPACT
The Utilities and Maintenance Department will be required to maintain the pub1 ic median improvements. The Parks and Recreation Department will be required to maintain the median landscaping. The value of the improvement is estimated at $192 , 645.00.
