RED COMMITTEE APPOINTMENTS RECOMMENDED ACTION: If City Council concurs your action is to adopt Resolution No.q.+3&$, appointing six members to the Carlsbad Housing and Redevelopment Advisory Committee. In November, 1979, City Council took action amending Municipal Code Section 2.40.010 establishing a Housing and Redevelopment Advisory Committee for the City of Carlsbad pursuant to Section 34120.5 of the California Health and Safety Code. Functions of the Committee are to advise and make recommendations to the Housing and Redevelopment Commission or the City Council as either body may request on matters relating to the operation and activities of the Commission. The Housing and Redevelopment Advisory Committee currently has a total of six vacancies to be filled. (Exhibit 2) Committee Members John McCoy and Peder Norby have expressed their desire to be reappointed. In addition, the City Clerk’s office has received applications for appointment to the Housing and Redevelopment Advisory Committee during calendar year 1989. The attached organizational chart shows the entire membership of the committee and the respective categories.
