RECOMMENDED ACTION:
By Minute Motion, accept the installation of lighting on tht tennis courts at Carlsbad High School, project No. 86-1-3703: as complete, direct the City Clerk to record the Notice o Completion, and authorize the Director of Finance to close thc project account upon payment of all final costs and claims.
Adopt Resolution No. C/O-F;r, authorizing the Finance Direct0
to transfer the surplus balance of funds from account no. 001
820-1821-3312 (C.H.S. tennis court lighting) into the Genera
Fund contingency account.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The installation of lights at the Carlsbad High School tenni
facility has been satisfactorily completed. This complex wil
now provide nine (9) tennis courts for evening use by th public.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The City Council has previously authorized $123,634 for thi
lighting project ($96,634 from state grant, $27,000 fro
General Fund). The following expenses were incurred with thi project :
Design $3 , 970 Construction Costs 109 , 917 Landscaping Costs, Misc. 4,659
TOTAL COST 1181546
Budget appropriation 123,634
Surplus balance $ 5,088
The surplus balance will be returned to the General Fur undesignated fund balance.

RESOLUTION NO. 90-81
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF SURPLUS FUNDS FROM THE
3312 INTO THE GENERAL FUND CONTINGENCY ACCOUNT. C.H.S. TENNIS COURT LIGHTING PROJECT ACCOUNT NO. 001-820-1821-
WHEREAS, the City Council has completed the installation of light
the Carlsbad High School tennis facility; and
WHEREAS, this complex will now provide nine (9) tennis courts
evening use by the public; and
WHEREAS, the cost of said improvements is less than the amount of 1
funds available for the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the Cit
Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council has accepted the lighting of the Car
High School tennis courts as complete.
That the City Clerk has been directed to record the Notic 3.
Completion.
4. That the Finance Director is authorized to close the pr
