RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. 78x6 assigning contract between the Ci
Carlsbad and Luke-Dudek, Civil Engineers, Inc., dated Februz
1989 (Resolution No. 89-35 and Amendment to Contract Resol
89-306) to the Carlsbad Municipal Water District, a subsj
District of the City.
ITEM EXPLANATION
The Carlsbad Municipal Water District, is now responsible fc
aspects of reclaimed water. As a result, the District wi
funding the additional work required for the Water Reclan
Master Plan being prepared by Luke-Dudek, Civil Engineers,
under City contract. The District will also be fundinc additional work required to assist in the preparation of tl interest loan application package to fund up to $5 milli reclaimed water projects' engineering and construction costs
Therefore it is recommended that the District become a par the contract, by assignment to the District by the City, sc a supplement to existing contract can be approved and fund the District for the extra work required.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact resulting from this proposed actic

TO THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad has entered i
contract with Luke-Dudek Civil Engineers, InC.,
February 17, 1989 (Resolution No. 89-35) for Preparation OJ
Of Carlsbad Water Reclamation Plan Update, and
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad desires to assign
contract including its duties and obligations to the Ca:
Municipal Water District.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counc
