ITEM EXPLANATION: The Engineering Department has significantly reduced the amount of consultan plancheck and inspection services. Plancheck consultants have been reduc equivalent of four and one-half employees to one and one-half employees. consultants have been reduced from four to two employees. Approximately $ expended in the engineering services account during the 1989-90 fiscal year. § been appropriated for those services during the 1990-91 fiscal year. Funds are also appropriated to the miscellaneous consultant account for varic services including document processing, master plan revisions and traffic mon total appropriation in the miscellaneous consultant account has been increased f in 1989-90 to $95,000 for 1990-91 due to the transfer from the Planning DE Engineering of responsibility for administering the transportation consultant c Bouman and Associates, Inc. However, funding for transportation consultant pi reduced from $60,000 to $35,000 since Mr. Bouman will now only be used on a basis. Reductions were also made in funding for emergency traffic and ero services. The proposed supplemental agreements allow contracts with consultants listed extended based on satisfactory performance and the City's needs. The s agreements will allow the City to extend the original agreements for three additic periods. Supplemental agreements with BSI Consultants, Inc. and Dudek and Inc. also include a revision to the section on payment of fees which provides change fees. BEN B. ELLORIN, HELMING ENGINEERING, INC., BSI CONSULTANTS, INC., CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION AND ADMINISTRATION, DUDEK AND ASSOCIATES, INC., YVONNE MERRIlT, AND BOUMAN AND ASSOCIATES, INC.
