Authorize Fire Captain Dave Mitchley to travel to Phoenix, Arizona, to attend a two day educatio
meeting.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
This two-day meeting is one of two held annually. These meetings draw Fire Department Sal
Representatives from most of the western states. Both this meeting, in Phoenix, and the secc
meeting in Clark Co, Nevada, were meant to be included in the Fire Department 1990/91 bud!
from the description.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Estimated cost is $262.00, which is provided for in the 90/91 budget.

OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY
Dear SAFER Member,
It's already that time again: The 6th Annual Phoenix SAFER meeting will be
held etober 18th and 19th. As in previous years the meeting theme will be Firefighter Safety. We have a tranendous speaker lined up for the Thursday afternoon session.
All functions will take place at the hotel. The massy Suites Camelhead,
1515 N. 44th St. Phoenix AZ 85008. The room rate is $75.00/day single or double and includes breakfast and a hosted two hour cocktail reception each evening. Courtesy transportation is provided to and from the airport. of you who desire may extend through the weekend at the Same rate. Reservations may be made by calling 602-244-9800 or 800-447-8483 or mailing the reservation card, rooms are blocked through September 28th.
The Thursday session will begin at 1 PM. The speaker is Chas Harral of the Harral Institute. Mr. Harral will talk about '21st Century Mental Conditioning Safety Awareness".

The Phoenix meeting like the Clark County meeting is now being managed by the
SAFER board. Please fill out the attached registration form and return it to George H att.
This is a vendor meeting and tabletop exhibit space and outdoor vehicle space
is available. Vendors will be limited to one (1) indoor table. Security will
be provided for the vehicle area on Thursday night. Set up for'exhibits will begin at 1200 noon on Thursday the 18th.
