RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. ??- $ff approving Change Order No. 3 for Alga
Road/Poinsettia Lane improvements and directing the City’s Purchasing Officer to
increase Purchase Order No. 10396 by $27,926.00.
ITEM EXPLANATION
Subsequent to median island construction, Hillman Properties requested changes to
various nosing and driveways for future access to Alga Road. Since the Originally
contracted work had been completed, removal and reconstruction was required.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 3 FOR ALGA ROAD/POINSETTIA LANE IMPROVEMENTS, PROJECT NO 3305
WHEREAS, construction changes for future access to Alga Road, Project No. 3305,
have necessitated contract Change Order No. 3; and
WHEREAS, funds in the amount of $27,926.00 for said Change Order are available in
Account No. 409-820-l 880-3305.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That Change Order No. 3 for Alga Road/Poinsettia Lane improvements,
specifically identified as Project No. 3385, is approved.
3. That the Purchasing Officer of the City of Carlsbad, California, is hereby
authorized to increase Purchase Order No. 10396 by $27,926.00
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council
held on the 6th day of b&r, 1990 by the following vote, to wit:

The Contractor is directed to make the following changes as described herein. Changes shall include all labor, materials, equipment, contract time extension, and all other goods and services required to implement this change. Payment stated on this change order includes all charges, direct or indirect, arising out of this additional work and is expressly agreed between City and Contractor to be the complete and final costs hereof. The requirements of the specifications, where pertinent and not in conflict with this change order, shall apply to these changes. This change order is not effective unless signed by the City Manager and/or the Mayor.
Item 1: Reconstruct median island nosings and driveways as shown on revised plan sheets 6 of 52 (delta 1, 8-17-90), 9 of 52 (delta 1, 8-28-90), and 11 of 52 (delta 1, 8-17-90); the work includes removal and disposal of existing improvements as necessary to complete the work.
