RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. q’o-. 4% accepting bids and awarding a contract in the amount of $246,500.00 to Daley
Corporation of San Diego for the 1990-91 Streets Overlay
Program, Contract No. U/M 91-2.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
On October 9, 1990, the City Council approved the contract documents special provisions and specifications and authorized the City Clerk to advertise for bids for the 1990-91 Streets Overlay Program. The attached street
listing details the project areas.
Seven (7) bids were received, opened, witnessed and recorded on November 28, 1990. The bid amounts ranged from $246,500 to $340,509. The bids were reviewed by the staff of the Purchasing and Utilities and Maintenance Departments. Daley Corporation of San Diego was the
lowest responsive bidder in the amount of $246,500.00. The contractor’s registration and bonds are in order and references are satisfactory.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The estimate for the work was $260,800.00 and funds are available in Account Number 001-820-5110-2412.

WHEREAS, funds are available in account number 001- 11
