RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. ?[-/$ , accepting a twenty-five hundred dollar ($2,500)
donation from The Fieldstone Company in support of a Youth Recreation Directory.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The Carlsbad Parks and Recreation Department has received a twenty-five hundred
dollar ($2,500) donation from The Fieldstone Company in support of a new Youth
Recreation Directory. The Directory is one of a kind in the community. It informs
youths where public and commercial recreational services can be found. If Council
concurs, the funds will be used to offset the cost to distribute directories to all
youngsters in grades K-12.
The Parks and Recreation Commission has unanimously recommended acceptance o
these funds by the City Council. A letter of appreciation will be sent on behalf of thc
Parks and Recreation Department.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds in the amount of twenty-five hundred dollars ($2,500) will be deposited int
Parks and Recreation Donations Account (Account #880-5 19-9218-0000).

A RESO1,UTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A
TWENTY FIVE HUNDRED DOLLAR ($2,500)
DONATIION FORM THE FIELDSTONE COMPANY.
WHEREAS, The Fieldstone Company has donated twenty five hundred dolla
($2,500) to the City of Carlsbad in support of the Youth Recreation Directory to
distributed to students in grades kindergarten through twelve; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Commission has received this donati
and recommends acceptance by the City Council, and;
WHEREAS, the City Council acknowledges the generosity of The Fieldst(
Company and wishes to accept this donation in support of the new Youth Recreat
Directory,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the Cit!
Carlsbad, as follows:
1. That the City Council accepts the donation of twenty five hundred dol
($2,500) in support of the Youth Recreation Directory, and
Funds will be deposited into Parks and Recreation Donations Accc
(Account #880-5 19-9218-0000).
