RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. f&%d accepting a donation of $5,000 from The Fieldstor
Company.

CITY
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The Fieldstone Company has contributed funds to the City of Carlsbad Arts Office in tt
amount of $5,000 to fund the annual Arts and Business Breakfasts.
The breakfasts are co-sponsored by the Arts Office, Arts Commission the Carlsb:
Economic Enhancement Committee. They are designed to provide a forum to discuss tt
overlapping interests of business and cultural arts. Speakers are selected based on tht
expertise in areas of interest to the community concerning ways arts and cultural enhanc
a community and ways businesses can participate in this enhancement.
The Arts Office has held 2-3 breakfasts each year for the past two years. The Fieldstor
Company contributed $5,000 last year for these events and has once again offered tt-
generous contribution.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The contributed $5,000 will cover the full costs of the breakfasts. The $5,000 will t
deposited into the Arts Office Donation Account (880-51 9-9228-0000). The Arts Office
authorized to spend these funds for the breakfasts.

RESOLUTION NO. 91-54
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A DONATION FROM THE FIELDSTONE COMPANY
WHEREAS, the City’s Arts Office provides cultural opportunities for Carlsbad
residents; and
WHEREAS, The Fieldstone Company is providing funds in the amount of $5,000
to the Carlsbad Arts Office to fund the 1991 Arts and Business Breakfasts; and
WHEREAS, these breakfasts are co-sponsored by the Carlsbad Arts Office, Arts
Commission and the Carlsbad Economic Enhancement Council; and
WHEREAS, the $5,000 will be deposited in the Arts Office Donation Account and
funds are to be expended from this account.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad
as follows:
