Recently the Library installed a public access on-line catalog, making a number of v1
card catalogs surplus. The Librarian at the Prince of Peace Abbey has expressed an i
in purchasing four of the surplus units to accommodate their collection at the Abbey
looking at the card catalogs, the Abbey Librarian has offered a total of $1,900 for foL
This is considered to be a fair and reasonable price.
FISCAL IMPACT
The money from the sale of the surplus card catalogs will be deposited in the Generz

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING FOUR LIBRARY
CARD CATALOGS SURPLUS AND AUTHORIZING THE SALE
OF SAME TO THE PRINCE OF PEACE ABBEY
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad has determined four library card Ci
surplus; and
WHEREAS, the Prince of Peace Abbey has a need for these surplu:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
Carlsbad, as follows:

That the above recitations are true and correct.
That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to
surplus library card catalogs to the Prince of Pease Abbey for $1,900.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of I
