DEPT. ENC. ON MCCAULEY LANE & VALLEY STREET
MINOR SUBDIVISION NO. 721 AND 728
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Accept improvements, authorize the City Clerk to record the Notice of Completion, release bonds
in accordance with State Laws and City Ordinances, and direct the Utilities and Maintenance
Department to commence maintaining the public street and sewer improvements constructed at
McCauley Lane and Valley Street.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The Developer has constructed the improvements required of this project. The City Engineer is
requesting that City Council accept the public improvements itemized in Exhibit 3. City forces
have inspected the public improvements and found them to be satisfactory.
Water improvements have been accepted by the Carlsbad Municipal Water District and will be
maintained by the district. The City Engineering Department is holding bonds for water
improvements. These will be released along with securities posted for the public street and
sewer improvements subsequent to recordation of the Notice of Completion.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The Utilities and Maintenance Department will be required to maintain the public street and sewer
improvements. The value of the improvements is estimated at $71,476.00.
