ITEM EXPLANATION
The standard replacement process initiated by City Council action in Fiscal year I!
authorizes the replacement of vehicles over ten years of age. The new vehicle will r
an existing 1975 chip/dump truck (P-004), with over 92,000 miles, and which has a s
rusted truck bed that has been replaced once, and moreover requires frequent nec
repairs causing department downtime.
In accordance with Section 3.28.1 20 of the Municipal Code, Notice to Bidders was pul
and Request for Bid was made of twenty-five vendors. LAKESIDE CHEVROLET, Box 'I
City CA 92381, submitted the lowest, most responsive bid of $44,940.00 which incluc
and delivery.
FISCAL IMPACT
Sufficient funds are available in the Central Garage Replacement Reserve Account N
820-5220-3900 to purchase this vehicle.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A BID AND AUTHORIZING
THE EXECUTION OF A PURCHASE ORDER FOR A CHIP/DUMP
TRUCK
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Car
California, as follows:
1. That the bid of Lakeside Chevrolet, Box "E, Sun City CA 92381, is t
accepted and the Purchasing Officer is hereby authorized to execute a Purchase Order 1
purchase of a chip/dump truck in the amount of $44,940.00 including tax.
