ACCEPTANCE OF $100.00 DONATION TO THE PARKS AND RECREATION
DEPARTMENT
On March 12, 1991, employees John Tenger and Tobias Gannaway found a wallet while on
duty as ballfield maintenance employees for the Parks and Recreation Department. The two
men promptly returned the item to its owner and refused to accept a reward for their deed.
So impressed was the owner of the wallet that she called me and insisted that she send a gift
to the City of Carlsbad on behalf of these two men.
I ask that the City of Carlsbad accept the very generous gift of $100.00 on behalf of Mr.
John Tenger and Mr. Tobias Gannaway and their outstanding deed and general service to
the City of Carlsbad.
