The two men promptly returned the item to its owner and refused to accept a reward for their deed. So impressed was the owner of the wallet that she called me and insisted that she send a gift to the City of Carlsbad on behalf of these two men. I ask that the City of Carlsbad accept the very generous gift of $100.00 on behalf of Mr. John Tenger and Mr. Tobias Gannaway and their outstanding deed and general service to the City of Carlsbad. c: Parks and Recreation Director Recreation Superintendent Senior Management Analyst 20 EXHIBIT 2 April 8, 1991 TO: RECREATION LEADER I, JOHN TENGER FROM: Recreation Supervisor I COMMENDATION FOR YOUR EXEMPLARY CITIZENSHIP AND WORK FOR THE CITY OF CARLSBAD On March 12, 1991, you found and returned a wallet to a Carlsbad citizen during your scheduled work day.
