I know him to have a strong sense of commitment to the City of Carisbad as a member of the Friends of the Carlsbad Library, a homeowner of many years, and as the parent of two daughters studying in Carlsbad Schools. I also know David to have a strong commitment to the humanities as an avid reader, playgoer, and concertgoer. What I most appreciate in David is an open mind about experiencing different and sometimes unusual events: he regularly attends the San Diego Symphony performances and has experienced the range of music from a La Jolla Chamber Music Society Summer Festival concert to a contemporary music concert featuring SONOR, the contemporary music ensemble of UO. His participation at the city's Summer Jazz Concerts is really more a devotion and his devotion to the Summer Pops Concert in Carlsbad is really more a passion, 1 am certain he would bring devotion, passion and insight to the Cultural Arts Program for City of Carlsbad and therefore strongly urge his appointment as an ArtsCommMoner.
