ITEM EXPLANATION: Under the proposed Council Policy, membership on the Planning Commission, De Review Board and Housing and Redevelopment Advisory Committee would be limited to consecutive terms. An individual retiring after two terms may be eligible for consideratioi any other City board, committee or commission, and could be considered for reappointr after a two-year waiting period. Individuals appointed to an unexpired term would be elil to be reappointed for two consecutive terms. This Council Policy is the same p' committees and boards. This item was discussed at the January 22, 1991 City Go[ Meeting. The City Council has directed staff to evaluate the feasibility of bringing more continui' term lengths.
