RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Introduce Ordinance No. ,/h,- /&? to install STOP signs on Pontiac Drivt
intersection of Spokane Way.
Introduce Ordinance No. ///!!--/g f to install STOP signs on Pontiac Drivt
intersection of Victoria Avenue.
I ITEM EXPLANATION:
At the City Council meeting of June 11, 1991 the Council considered the citizen
of the Traffic Safety Commission recommendations for Pontiac Drive. Staff was d
to return with documents to establish a 4-Way STOP controlled intersection on I
Drive at the intersection of Spokane Way and a 3-way STOP controlled intersec
Pontiac Drive at the intersection of Victoria Avenue. In addition to STOP
appropriate pavement markings and STOP AHEAD symbol signs will be insta
Pontiac Drive at the two subject intersections. Prior to the STOP signs being in
staff will send letters to the 1,000+ homes on and near Pontiac Drive to adv
residents that STOP signs will be installed. 1 FISCAL IMPACT:
Installing four STOP signs and four STOP AHEAD signs and appropriate pa\ markings will cost approximately $1,500,00.

CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER
10.28 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE
ADDITION OF SECTION 10.28.41 0 REQUIRING STOPS ON
PONTIAC DRIVE AT SPOKANE WAY.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, hereby ordains as fol
SECTION 1: That Title 10, Chapter 10.28 of the Carlsbad Municipal (
amended by the addition of Section 10.28.410 to read as follows:
