Adopt Resolution No. 9 f -3%) appointing a member to the Serra Cooperative Library Systex
RECOMMENDED ACTION:

COOPERATIVE LIBRARY SYSTEM
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The California Library Services Act provides for the creation of an Advisory Board consistin;
of members from each library in the Cooperative System. Since the City of Carlsbad is a
member of the Serra System, the City Council has the right to appoint one member to the
Advisory Board. That person must be a resident of Carlsbad.
The Library Board recommends Library Board member Milt Cooper be reappointed to the
Serra Advisory Board.

None.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA,
APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE SERRA COOPERATlVE
LIBRARY SYSTEM ADVISORY BOARD
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad is a member of the Serra Cooperative

7 WHEREAS, the Serra Cooperative Library System Advisory Board was
8 established pursuant to the California Library Services Act, which provides that the

1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
