Accept donation of $900 from Southern California Tennis Association Junior

ITEM EXPLANATION:
The Recreation Department has received a nine hundred dollar ($900.00) grant
donation from the Southern California Tennis Association to help augment the
Youth Tennis Day Camp Program held June 24th through the 28th, 1991.
Funding is made available in cooperation with the United States Tennis
Association and UNOCAL to provide seed money grants to deserving Youth
Tennis Programs.
The Parks and Recreation Commission has received this donation and has
unanimously recommended acceptance by the City Council. If the Council
concurs, a letter of appreciation will be sent on behalf of the Parks and
Recreation Department.
FISCAL IMPACT
Nine hundred dollars ($900.00) will be deposited into account #880-5 19-920-000
(Recreation Special Events).

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA TENNIS ASSOCIATION IN
SUPPORT OF YOUTH DAYCAMP PROGRAMS.
NINE-HUNDRED DOLLAR DONATION FROM THE
WHEREAS, the Southern California Tennis Association has donated nine
hundred ($900) dollars to the City of Carlsbad in support of a Youth Recreation
Programs sponsored by the Association’s Junior Development Program, and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Commission has received this
donation and recommends acceptance by the City Council, and
WHEREAS, the City Council acknowledges the generosity of the Southern
California Tennis Association and wishes to accept this donation in support of
the Youth Daycarnp Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad as follows:
1. That the City Council accepts the donation of nine hundred ($900)
dollars in support of the Youth Daycamp Program, and

2. Funds will be deposited into Recreation Special Events account
#880-519-920-000,
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council of Carlsbad on the - 23rdof July of 1991, by the following vote,
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Larson, Stanton and Nygaard
