Dear Ms. Phillips:
On behalf of the Board of Trustees and the Centro de Informacih staff, I would like to thank yc
for your generous contribution to our program.
The Centro de Informacih is located right in the heart of the Carlsbad barrio. The Centro is tl
library's effort to meet the library needs of the Spanish-speaking community. The program will a1
provide basic information on government regulations, assistance in filling out forms, as well
resource information about their utilities. Pacific Bell's donation will be used to help unded
the cost of this program.
With the outstanding support provided to the library by companies such as yours, the Carlsbad Cj
Library is even better able to meet the information needs of our community.
We would like for you to present the check to our Mayor during one of the City Council meetin1
He will then present it to one of our Centro staff. Gina Sachs will call you as soon as we can
placed on the Council's agenda to see if you can attend.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, ACCEPTING A DONATION FROM PACIFIC
BELL TELEPHONE COMPANY.
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad City Library's Centro de Informacion provides
information services for Carlsbad residents; and
WHEREAS, Pacific Bell Telephone Company is providing funds in the ama
of $750 to assist in the establishment of the Centro de Informacion; and
/
WHEREAS, the $750 will be deposited in the Partnerships for Change
donations account and funds are to be expended from this account;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad as follows:

That the above recitations are true and correct.
That the City Council accepts the donation in the amount of $750
from Pacific Bell Telephone Company.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City 1
