his project will remove and replace the existing fencing on the west sid arl sbad Boulevard between Cherry Avenue and Redwood Avenue. The deterior ooden fence will be replaced with an anodized aluminum fence. The fen aterial will match the existing anodized aluminum fencing on the blufftop wal to the north.
Staff from the Engineering Department and Purchasing have reviewed the documents of all bidders and have determined that Abghari Construcl Incorporated is the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. It is then recommended that the award of contract be made to Abghari Construcl Incorporated. Construction is anticipated to begin within thirty (30) day: require approximately two (2) months to complete.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARBSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE CARLSBAD BOULEVARD WHARE WATCH FENCE, PROJECT NO. 3355
WHEREAS, five (5) sealed bids were received on September 3, 199
said project; and
WHEREAS, all bid documents received from all bidders have
reviewed in detail and the City Council does hereby find that the 'I
responsive, responsible bid received for the construction of said projel
submitted by Abghari Construction, Incorporated, in the amount of $87,47
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the C
Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the bid in the amount of $87,470.00 is hereby accept
the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to exe
contract thereafter.
3. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to i
construction change orders up to a cumulative total of $13,000.00.
