RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. 91 -3%- accepting a donation of $2,000 to the
of Carlsbad DARE Program from the BPOE Elks Lodge 1561 (a non-
organization).
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Carlsbad Police Department received a check in the amount of $2,(
from Oceanside BPOE Elks Lodge. The donation was from a share o
proceeds from fund raising programs on behalf of local DARE Progr

FISCAL IMPACT:
The donation will be added to the DARE Trust Account (Account No

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CAI IFORNIA. ACCFPTING A DONATION OF TWO THOUSAND DO1 I ARS
WHEREAS, Oceanside Elks Lodge 1561 donated two thousand dollars
for the City of Carlsbad Drug Abuse Resistance Education Program (DARE).
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept this donation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:
1. That the City Council accept the donation of two thousand dollars on behalf of
the citizens of the City of Carlsbad.
