ITEM EXPLANATION
On January 2,1990, Council adopted Resolution No. 90-3 creating a nine-member Sister
City Committee. On April 3, 1990, Council adopted Resolution No. 90-59 appointing
the nine members to the committee. In addition to appointing the nine members, Mayor
Lewis appointed Stephanie L’Heureux as student liaison to the committee.

Ms. L’Heureux is now a student at Earlham College in Indiana, and has resigned as
Committee. Ea
student liaison to the Committee. Therefore, this item is being forwarded to Council so
the Mayor can designate a new appointee as student liaison to the Sister City

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING
A S.TUDENT LIAISON TO THE CARLSBAD SISTER
CITY COMMITTEE.
WHEREAS, Stephanie L'Heureux has resigned as a Student Lia
of the Sister city Committee; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined to continue the PO
of appointing a Student Liaison to the Sister City Committee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the. City Council of the
of Carlsbad, California, as fo.llows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the following person is hereby appointed to sen
Student Liaison to the Sister City Committee:
Anne Eckles
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the
Council of the City of Carlsbad on the 24th day of March
1992, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Larson, Stanton and Nygaard
