This exercise is a result of Council's action on Tuesday eveninq, January 21.. 1992, whereby, I, alonq with two other citizens, was duly appointed to serve a four year term on the Carlsbad Water Commission, effective immediately. Althouqh dual membership is permissible, I accept Council's policy which discouraqes concurrent pafticipation on rnore than one Commission. I feel that the experience gained from serving on the Parks and Recreation Commission for the last 4 and 1/2 years, coupled with the traininq, education, and guidance that I have received fforn the Parks and Recreation Diiector, Mf. David Bradstreet, Senior Managernent Analyst, Mr. Keith Eeuerly, and all the other City and parks and recreation department staff members, has prepared me to accept this new challenge.
