I have a modest art collection in my home, oil paintings, prints and antique texti Music, drama and ballet have also been very signiticant in my and my family's life I feel very proud of Carlsbad and its efforts to provide opportunities for it citi to appreciate the fine arts and music. The many local activities certainly enhanc quality of life for all it's citizens. I would consider it a privilege and an hol be part of the Art Commission team. You have certainly seen the passing human drama of the courtroom. Here is the essay written in the 1890s by Peter Finley Dunne, who was known as "Mr. Dooley.' You will certainly see that things have changed when you realize that we now worry about the problems of "speedy trial,' .Mirandan and cameras in the court- room, but the old issues are the same.
