RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. 92-85 , authorizing the destruction of certain files in the City Clerk's Office.
ITEM EXPLANATION
This Agenda Bill is part of a continuing Records Management Program for the City. Adoption of the attached Resolution will allow for destruction of bids.
Section 34090 of the Government Code provides authority for destruction of documents that are more than two years old and are no 1 onger required. The section a1 so requires City Attorney consent and City Counci 1 authorization prior to destruction of any document.
The documents 1 isted on Exhi bit "A" have been reviewed in accordance with the provisions of the Government Code. They meet the requirement, and the City Attorney has consented to their destruction.

None.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSB,
CALIFORNLA, AUTHORIZING DESTRUCTION OF CERTAIN FILES.
WHEREAS, Section 34090 of the Government Code provides authority for
destruction of certain records;
WHEREAS, the documents listed on Exhibit "A", attached hereto and made a 1
hereof, meet the requirements of Government Code Section 34090 for destruction and
City Attorney has consented to their destruction.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsl
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized to destroy the documents listed o
Exhibit "A", attached hereto.
