DEPT. ENG NORTH BATIQUITOS FORCE MAIN REPAIR
PRIVATE DEVELOPMENT NO. 350 I RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Accept improvements, authorize the City Clerk to record the Notice of Completion, release bonds
in accordance with State Laws and City Ordinances, and direct the Carlsbad Municipal Water
District to commence maintaining the public sewer force main improvements constructed at
Batiquitos Drive near Interstate 5 for the project known as Aviara.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The Developer has constructed the improvements required of this project. The City Engineer is
requesting that City Council accept the public improvements itemized in Exhibit 3. City forces
have inspected the public improvements and found them to be satisfactory.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The Carlsbad Municipal Water District will be required to maintain the public sewer force main
improvements, at an estimated annual cost of $760.00.
The value of the improvements is estimated at $43,293.00.
