Introduce Ordinance No. 0s - do3 to establish a prima facie 30 mile per hot
limit upon Hosp Way from El Camino Real to Monroe Street.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Hosp Way serves as a collector street between El Camino Real and Monroe Str
a two-lane road approximately 0.8 miles in length that follows a curvilinear alignn
provides access to single family homes and apartments. The road has an Avers
Traffic (ADT) volume of approximately 2,600 vehicles,

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSE
CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER 10.44 OF THE CARLS
MUNlClPdL CODE BY THE REVISION OF SECTION 10.44.1 40 TO ESTABLIS
PRIMA FACIE 30 MILE PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT UPON HOSP WAY FROh
CAMINO REAL TO MONROE STREET.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California hereby ordains as follows:
SECTION 1 : That Title 10, Chapter 10.44 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is arr
by the revision of Section 10.44.1 40 to read as follows:
"1 0.44.1 40 Hosp Wav:
Upon Hosp Way from El Camino Real to its intersection with
Monroe Street, the prima facie speed limit shall be thirty miles per
hour."
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty days after its adopti
the City Clerk, City of Carlsbad shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and
it to be published at least once in the Carlsbad Journal within fifteen (15) days i
