RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Ordinance No. NS-202, establishing a prima facie 30 mile per hour speed limi
on Hosp Way, from El C&o Real to Monroe Street.
ITEM EXPLANATION
Ordinance No. NS-202 was introduced and first read at a regular City Council meetin1
on June 2, 1992. The second reading allows Council to adopt the ordinance whicl
would then become effective in thirty days. The City Clerk will have the ordinancc
published in the "Carlsbad Journal" within fifteen days, if adopted.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSI
CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER 10.44 OF THE CARLS
MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE REVISION OF SECTION 10.44.1 40 TO ESTABLI:

The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California hereby ordains as follows:
SECTION 1 : That Title 10, Chapter 10.44 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is an
PRIMA FACIE 30 MILE PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT UPON Hasp WAY FRO\
by the revision of Section 10.44.140 to read as follows:
"1 0.44.1 40 Hosp Wav:
Upon Hosp Way from El Camino Real to its intersection with
Monroe Street, the prima facie speed limit shall be thirty miles per
hour."
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty days after its adopti
the City Clerk, City of Carlsbad shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance an(
it to be published at least once in the Carlsbad Journal within fifteen (15) days
adoption.
INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a regular meeting of said City Council held
2nd day of June , 1992, and thereafter,
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City (
held on the 9th day of June , 1992 by the following vote, to wit:
