Item Explanation:
On April 9, 1992, the Carlsbad Senior Center received a check in thc
amount of $801.72, from the Hughes Aircraft Company Employees GC
Senior Commission Recommendation:
At their meeting on May 7, 1992, the Senior Commission accepted
$801.72 donated by the Hughes Employees GO Club. The Senioi
Commission recommends that this donation be deposited into the Senior
Trust Fund to be utilized to purchase special equipment at the Senior
Fiscal Impact:
The $801.72 donation has been deposited into the Senior Trust Fund

We at the Carlsbad Senior Center want to extend our thanks to each participant in the Hught
"GO" Club for their generous donation.
As a focal point for services to older residents, we offer programs and services for the actib
Senior, as well as those who are more frail.
Thanks to donations and support from the community, participants at the Senior Center enjc
many amenities which otherwise might not be possible.
I would be pleased to arrange a tour of our facility for any interested "GO" Club members
This would give me an opportunity to personally thank club members and allow them to see ou
active Center.

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 01
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A DONATION 0
EIGHT HUNDRED ONE DOLLARS AND SEVENTY TW
CENTS ($801.72).
WHEREAS, the Hughes Aircraft Company Employees Give Onc
Club donated eight hundred one dollars and seventy two cen
($801 -72) to the Carlsbad Senior Center; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept this gift;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of tt
City of Carlsbad as follows:
1. That the City Council accepts the donation of eight hundred or
dollars and seventy two cents ($801.72) on behalf of the Senil
Citizens of the City of Carlsbad.
