U&M RECOMMENDED ACTION: REPLACEMENT PROGRAM CITY AUTHORIZE TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS CIN Adopt Resolution No. CIPZo7 approving contract documents, special provisions anc specifications, and authorizing the City Clerk to advertise for bids for the 1991-9: Curbs, Gutters and Sidewalks Replacement Program, Contract No. U/M 92-9, ITEM EXPLANATION: The City's annual Street Maintenance Program provides for repair of failed or failin: curbs, gutters, sidewalks and driveway approaches. A small portion of this work i performed by City staff with the majority of the work performed by contractors Thi year's contract program specifies removal and replacement of 1,256 lineal feet of curl and gutter, 13,836 square feet of sidewalk, 1,495 square feet of driveway approach 772 square feet of cross gutter, and 582 square feet of spandril. Contract documents, special provisions and specifications have been prepared and ar on file in the City Clerk's Office, the Purchasing Department and the Utilities an1 Maintenance Department. Work is anticipated to take place during August an1 September 1992, and is ;anticipated to take about twenty (20) work days to completc RSCAL, IMPACT: e fd% > 0 rM a 2 z 0 0 .. i= a i 0 z s 0 0 Project costs are estimated to be $128,834. U/M 92-9 WHEREAS, the contract documents, special provision specifications for the furnishings of all labor, material, tl equipment, transportation and other expenses necessary incidental for the 1991-92 Curbs, Gutters and Side Replacement Program, Contract No. U/M 92-9, have been pre and are on file in the City Clerk's Office of the Cit Carlsbad and are incorporated by reference herein: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counc the City of Carlsbad as follows: 1.
